HOW TO STUDY – THE BIBLE ITSELF TELLS YOU!
There is ONE VERSE in the King James Bible that instructs us to STUDY! In this verse, we also find out HOW TO STUDY. In order to understand, be edified, be effective and get the profit out of God’s Word, we need “rightly-divide” the Word of Truth, that is truth from truth.
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. (2Ti 2:15)
This is a CRITICAL KEY for any Christian to know so that we can understand the Bible for ourselves and live according to God’s amazing Grace program today in the details of our lives. There is nothing more important in our entire lives than to be saved and to know God and His Word. We do not want to be found “ashamed” before the Lord. No matter how “sincere” or dedicated we are, only study of His Word with an open heart and love for TRUTH will enable us to be fruitful and on God’s program. The power to work effectually in us and transform us is in the Word of God. That is why we must read it and study it – simply learning from what it instructs us to know about God.
